Are Women More Intelligent Than Men?
A stronger motive for women, and a better sense of direction for men. It appears there are also differences between their levels of intelligence. Some even go as far as to say that one sex has more of it than the other...
An individual’s type of cognitive faculties could depend on his or her sex. This is what psychologist professor Doreen Kimura of the Simon Fraser University in Canada demonstrates. Her books - in particular that of 1999’s Sex and Cognition leads one to notice fundamental differences between men and women. A man’s precision, aiming, capacity for abstraction, and spatial orientation versus a woman’s flexibility, visual orientation, verbal intelligence and quality of listening…The abyss deepens when it comes to differentiating between a man’s and a woman’s brain.
To take a simple example, let us review the finger exercises suggested by Professor Kimura. A man tends to have a greater speed of movement by repeating the same drumming of the fingers for example. A woman on the other hand, has greater ability to fold each finger individually. The disparities appear on another level as well: if mankind suggests that there is a greater number of "gifted" men, the same goes for the same great number of male "idiots"! In addition, the success women experience during IQ tests largely depends on their menstrual cycle. The hormones do indeed play a dominating role in the calculation of IQ levels, since with puberty, the boys gain on average four points compared to a girl’s IQ.
