INGREDIENTS: 8 cups finely diced Cabbage (about 1 head) 1/2 cup finely diced carrots 1 cup crushed pineapple 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup mayonnaise
DIRECTIONS: 1. Cabbage and carrots should be chopped into very fine pieces (about the size of a rice grain) 2. Combine all the ingredients and mix well. 3. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving. (Overnight is highly recommended so that the flavours will be well blended.)

How I love coleslaw! It becomes watery when I prepare it myself. How do I avoid this even when I have strained the crushed pineapple? Can I use this as my snack?

I think watery coleslaw over time is a fact of life. =) I've also tried draining the pineapple overnight, but it still gets watery...presumably it's from the cut cabbage releasing some water too.
It should be fine as a snack, but ideally, try to use less mayonnaise. =)

I was able to buy a low fat Mayo made of olive oil at S & R and the taste is the same as ordinary mayo. Instead of boiling saba I also try to cook it in a little olive oil in a non stick pan but first cut it into 2 and it's really delicious. Some should lessen eating the saba fried with sugar
