Do YOU eat breakfast?

posted by bluestar on 27-01-2009 à 07:03

We all know that breakfast is good for you, and studies have shown that breakfast-eaters are more likely to lose weight than those who skip breakfast. Still, do you manage to eat breakfast?

I always eat breakfast even when I am just alone, but I sometimes like to wait an hour or two after waking up, when I start to get hungry.

I used to skip bfast since I prefer to sleep more. Usually my 1st meal is lunch and since I am always busy I tend to eat little during lunch that is why when dinner comes, I tend to eat so much and thus, gained so much weight..

Now that I am trying to lose weight, I really tried to wake up early and eat breakfast so that I will not be hungry the whole day. I like to eat heavy during breakfast since I tried to eat so little during dinner. My usual bfast options are brown rice and tuna, or wheat bread and tuna/pnut butter spread or cereal and milk.. =)

I looove breakfast! I used to NOT eat breakfast because of work (you know, I'd rather sleep the extra hours than to use the time to eat breakfast). I'm used to eating bruch--but mostly bruch food IS still breakfast food since like I said, I looove breakfast! All the bacon, sausage, corned beef or tinapang bangus in combination with scrambled eggs! Yummmmmy! And I'm a coffee person, so that goes a lot well with the breakfast I'm eating. That was before though... Now I think breakfast SHOULD be part of the daily routine of eating. You do fast the whole evening and for sure your body needs a lot of nourishing come the morning to help get your day started. Hence the word "break" from the "fast". My breakfast usually include a low-calorie french toast with fruit on the side OR a high-fiber cereal, still with fruit on the side. Fruit is always good. I thought breakfast was too much of a meal to eat, but you know, you'd feel more energized for the rest of the day. And besides, you won't tend to eat a lot by lunch time.

Haha! I didn't realize I responded to this post a week ago!

I eat good breakfast most days of the week and when my SO is here coz he cooks our breakfast.  I would start with variety of fruits like one banana (medium size), 6 slices of Dole gold pineapple, 2 slices of pomelo, 5 cube size of cantalope.  Then scrambled egg without any oil and a slice of toasted wheat bread plus a heaping cup of coffee. Also, a half bowl of oatmeal with half teaspoon of muscovado sugar.  yummmmyyyy.....plus of course water and daily supplements.

I used to not eat breakfast since I'd rather sleep thant wake up early to eat. But I realize that I tend to eat a lot at brunch time then eat another by lunch which makes my body feel so heavy most of the time. So I try to eat breakfast now as much as possible, and I loooove breakfast! I try to find the best meal there is that's good and healthy. A really nice french toast--with only the egg white, with ana addition of a fruit is usually enought for me.:)

I don't eat breakfast. It started during my highschool days because whenever I eat breakfast I vomit after. What's the meaning of that? Can someone help me? Until now I'm 18 years old and third year college I skip breakfast.

just like the topic starter said, BREAKFAST is essential. You should not skip it for it helps your metabolism.

as for you case cutie008, maybe what you can do is to start the day slowly. maybe the reason why you vomit after eating a hefty breakfast is because your tummy is not ready for it. what you can do is to introduce breakfast to you tummy slowly. keep in mind that our body, hence our stomach, is like an engine that needs to be warmed up. start your day by drinking a glass of room temp water to ignite your tummy. then eat little by little.

Breakfast is he most important meal of the day.   Before I would only have 1 cup of coffee but now I started to eat cereals with low fat milk and coffee and water. That gives me the energy until lunch time.

I try to always get something in me every morning. I usally pack my lunch for the day but when I get to the office I tend to eat my packed lunch by 11am.

Since I wake up past 9am and end up with little time to have breakfast at home (I still have a 20min walk to the office from my pad) this works out for me.

These days I try to have a piece of fruit and black coffee as soon as I get to the office (and a big glass of water). Then a little while later (an hour or 2) I follow it up with whatever I packed for lunch.
