    Absolutely nothing! Subscribing to BelleToday.com is 100% free, and forever will be! All our users can therefore enjoy all the tools, services, and functionalities on the site at no cost.

    How can I activate my membership?
    Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive a confirmation e-mail in your inbox, based on the e-mail address that you had entered. Simply click on the link contained in this e-mail to activate your membership on BelleToday.com.

    In case you have not received the confirmation, please check your bulk e-mail or spam folder. If you still cannot find the e-mail, please try to register again.

    I just subscribed. When does my program start?
    The BelleToday.com program consists of weekly objectives, also referred to as "little steps", and a new one is explained every Monday. You are sent an e-mail every Friday, just before the "little step" of the week is scheduled to start. This e-mail contains all the information you need for the following week (shopping list, meal plans, exercise regimen, and the objective of the week). Why the delay? This grace period lets new members get ready during the weekend; giving them time to buy the necessary items for the week, and to condition themselves for the coming sessions.

    Example: If you register between Monday and Thursday, you will receive the first e-mail of the program on Friday. But if you register between Friday and Sunday, you will receive the first e-mail of the program on the Friday of the following week. While waiting for your program to start, you can go ahead and participate in the discussion forums or familiarize yourself with the tools on the site (blogs, weight graph, profile, and more)!

    If I am currently following another diet program (Atkins, Weight Watchers, the Zone, etc...), what can BelleToday.com offer me?
    By being with a group of women who also wish to lose weight, you will be able to sustain your motivation to follow through with the program. You will have the possibility to interact on the forums with other people who are following the same diet as you are, to share your experiences with them. You may also benefit from the all the weight loss tools available on the site (blog, weight graph, exercises, forums, recipes)....

    Is weight loss 100% guaranteed if I follow the BelleToday.com program?
    BelleToday.com provides users with tools designed to motivate you on your weight loss goals (programs, exercises, recipes, blog, weight graph, etc.). The advertised results (about two pounds or one kilo a week) depend entirely on how completely the user is able to follow all the advice presented in the program and make those all-important changes to her habits and lifestyle. Results may also vary depending on one's starting weight, genetic disposition, and overall physical health. If in doubt, please consult a physician before undergoing any weight loss program.

    How many calories are allotted for each meal, or for each day?
    The daily meals that are included in your BelleToday.com weight loss program are pegged at about 400 calories each, which is an ideal average amount for a weight loss meal plan. The total calories allotted for each day does not go past 1500 calories, but this may also vary, depending on the real-life amounts consumed by our users, as well as each user's starting weight.

    How long does the BelleToday.com weight loss program last?
    This program is built on a simple theory that nevertheless produces tried, tested, and true results—those of "little steps". Every week, you are given a simple objective or goal to attain (e.g., drinking more water, walking more often, adding a fruit or vegetable to your daily meals, etc.). You need not be intimidated, as each step is very simple. You will enter a spiral of success starting from your very first week, which is an excellent source of motivation. This program was originally designed to make obese people lose 24 pounds within 3 months, which is, in fact, a realistic objective. Depending on how much weight you want to lose, you can very well shorten or lengthen the duration of your program. After all, it's totally free, without any cost.

    Who prepared the meal and exercise plans included in the program?
    The weight loss programs on BelleToday.com and the original French version on Aujourdhui.com have been prepared by nutrition experts. Some cultural adaptations have been made, and these too, have been validated. Each recipe has been validated first before online publication. The exercises have been compiled by a fitness specialist. There are different levels of difficulty available, which you can select based on your preferred intensity and physical capability.

    The meal and exercise plans officially start on the Monday after you receive your Week 1 program e-mail.

    What if I don't like a particular food or dish in the meal plan?
    You can exchange it with an equivalent (or similar) food or dish of your choice. The meal plans serve as guides to a healthy, balanced diet. You are encouraged to use correct nutritional information and critical thinking to sustain a healthy eating lifestyle for the rest of your life. Have a question about the meal plans?     Does my personal information remain confidential?
    All the personal information that you provide during the registration process stay confidential and are NEVER transmitted to any third party. They are only stored in your private profile, to which only you have access. Only the the following information are accessible to the members of BelleToday.com—username, age, and country of residence. You may control the privacy settings of other information that you may wish to display or hide.

    How can I edit my personal information?
    To edit your personal information, login to your personal space and click on your profile photo, which is located on the left column. Click on "edit my social details" to modify the personal information that you had specified during registration. Please note that this information is visible to other members, but you may change this by setting your profile to "private".

    How can I change my username?
    Your username is your identity on BelleToday.com. It is used on your blog, groups, and forums, and for your personal space's URL at http://blog.belletoday.com/username. For this reason, your username cannot be changed. If you desire another username, you may sign up for a new account on BelleToday.com, but it is not possible to transfer the activity (comments, entries, posts) made on one account to another.

    Send a request via the contact page to have your account deleted. Indicate your username.

    How do I list my daily food and water intake in my blog?
    When you compose a new blog entry, click on the link that says "enter my food and diet details". You should see new fields to enter your breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, and water intake for the day.

    How can I send a private message to other members on the site?
    To communicate in private with another user, it is recommended that you add that user as a friend first, and you will be able to select that user from the compose a message section of your messages tool. Otherwise, you would have to go to that user's profile page to be able to send a private message.

    How can I find friends on BelleToday.com?
    We've made it easy for our users to find new friends. Simply click on the Friends icon in your personal navigation box, located in the upper right corner of your profile. Then, click on "find a friend". You will have the option of searching friends through different criteria (by age, city, etc.). Also, by participating in the discussion forums, you can meet users who share common concerns or interests. Click on their profile photo to view their profile and their blog. Also, on the home page of the site, you will find our newest members and most popular blogs—these are also helpful ways to meet new friends.

    I've replaced my profile photo with a new one, but I'm still seeing the old photo.
    If your new profile photo does not yet appear, it might be an issue with your browser's cache (images that are downloaded from your previous browsing sessions are stored on your computer for faster access). Try to empty your cache and then refresh the page. You may also check back at the site at a later time; your new profile photo will appear soon enough!

    How can I edit a weight that I had previously entered in the weight graph?
    This function has been requested, and we are working on it. :) Otherwise, you may simply delete the figure that was entered in error.

    I submitted a recipe or an exercise, but it's not on the site yet...
    All the recipes submitted by our users are first validated by our team before publication. the goal is to propose weight loss recipes that are suitable for a weight loss program. After validation, your submission for a recipe will be added to the site and can be accessed by users after 48 hours. You will be credited for your participation—your name and a link to your profile will be displayed on the recipe.
